OYO has roped in former IndiGo president Aditya Ghosh as CEO for India and South Asia. Ghosh, whose decade-long stint at the airline saw it emerge as the country’s largest and most profitable domestic player, will report to founder Ritesh Agarwal, who will now be group CEO of OYO Hotels & Homes. In September, OYO raised a whopping $1 billionfrom SoftBank’s Vision Fund, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Sequoia and Greenoaks Capital at a valuation of nearly $5 billion. The company ventured into China earlier this year, and is looking to expand to Indonesia, the UK and some European countries over 12-18 months.
